THE WASHINGTON SQUARE PARK DOG RUN 2015 CALENDAR!
The Washington Square Park Dog Run Association, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is responsible for the care of the of the park's two runs, located in the heart of Greenwich Village, NYC. The Association is managed by volunteers, and every penny of all donations goes directly to supplies and equipment. Hundreds of dog owners (and their dogs) visit the run every week.
The Parks Department does not financially contribute to or maintain the runs, so we rely on donations to create the loving, safe, clean and fun place for our dogs to socialize, hang out and play.
It costs approximately $15,000 to maintain the runs each year, which includes the cost of gravel, poop bags, garbage bags, tools and equipment.
The Washington Square Park Dog Run Calendar is our fundraiser for the year. Dog owners donate between $25 and $150 to feature their dogs. Sponsorships range from $150 to $500, and we are sponsored by local and national dog-related businesses. Because we are a 501(3)3, donations are tax-deductible.
Our 2015 calendar (below) was devoted to The Art of the Dog. More than two dozen artists generously contributed the use of their work. It was amazing! And it was a very successful fundraiser. We produce a high-quality 12" x 12" wall calendar that is cherished by hundreds of dog owners.
